Sometimes We Sing Together

Sometimes We Sing Together was formed in 2012, almost as an accident. Trey Lockerbie (Lenka's guitarist/keyboardist) and Ashleigh Haney (Rhianna's background vocalist) had been pursing separate musical careers for years when they were approached to join forces and cover a Woody Guthrie song for a licensing opportunity. It only took an hour of producing the song for both Trey and Ashleigh to realize they had something special. They released the song on their social networks and it caught fire, leading the duo to headline and pack out Hotel Cafe, a popular LA venue, on a Friday night. With Lockerbie's midwestern roots and Haney's California laissez faire approach, they deliver a unique blend of classic and contemporary folk, with quirky and/or brooding undertones. Perfect for a night of wine and campfire nostalgia.
