Bio

Somewhere Between Here and There is a Hard Rock band out of Houston, Texas, formed in 2004 by artist/producer Jason Epperley. Drawing on a diverse range of influences such as Pink Floyd, Ministry, Tricky, Curve, Faith No More, The Pixies, A Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails. SBHT brings music in the Electronic, Hard Rock, Industrial and Experimental genres.

As a young child Jason expressed his drive through holing up in his bedroom and honing his talent. Teaching himself how to play guitar, drums, bass, sequence drum machines, program synthesizers, and to compose songs on digital workstations and sequencing/ recording software. As he reached his mid 20’s, Jason set off touring as drummer for bands like Nocturne, (then signed to Triple X), Paris By Nite-(Seraph Records), Gitane Demone of Christian Death, Dirty Werk-(Dopehouse Records), Slim, and Minister Fiend. In his off time playing in other projects, producing, and writing for various groups and artists. After years of traveling different roads, he came to form Somewhere Between Here And There. He could not think of a more appropriate or shorter name for this project.

There probably isn’t a major genre of music that, vocalist, Jacob Baez hasn't thoroughly explored, appreciated, and been influenced by. He’s been moved by a wide range of acts such as the Gheto Boys, Depeche Mode, Nirvana, Pantera, Jeff Buckley, NIN, Outkast, ZZ Top and numerous others. When he was twenty he taught himself how to play guitar after finding an old electric stashed in his girlfriend’s closet. He spent the next seven years writing songs but kept most of his work to himself. After years of not being able to muster up enough courage to audition for a band, he finally answered the call and joined S.B.H.T. in 2010 as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. He has remained with the band ever since. They are currently preparing their first national tour together with the other two very amazing members that make up S.B.H.T, Guitarist Matt Gonzalez and Bassist Saul Delgado.

Music has always been a fundamental principle in, guitarist, Matt Gonzalez' life. He grew up in a very musical household, listening to everything from smooth jazz to the newly emerging punk rock scene in the 80's. Growing up, he learned to play the violin and the sax, but it wasn't until he was 14 that he decided to pick up the guitar and teach himself the songs he grew up hearing. It was then that Matt started the path of songwriting and began collaborating with other musicians. Over the years, he worked with a number of artists and groups, honing his skills and growing as an artist himself. In 2011, he met up with Jason Epperley and finally found someone that could utilize his skills as a musician to create something unique. As a member of SBHT, Matt contributes to the dark, ethereal moods and aggressive tones that make the music appeal to your secret pleasures and thoughts.

The Bassist of S.B.H.T., Saul Delgado, grew up in Houston,Tx and has lived there for most of his life. He started playing guitar when he was 16, after taking a music class in High School.

Like most musicians, Saul saw music as an escape. He was heavily influenced by artists such as Marilyn Manson, Muse, NIN, Slipknot, Tool, and A Perfect circle.

Although he originally started out playing guitar, Saul soon had an interest in the bass. His desire since then has been to utilize the bass unlike any other artist has.
