Some Will Be Saved

It's been only a short year since the formation of this band, originally Hearts of War, but what an insane year it's been. Through the loss of friends, brothers really, and the rising of warriors from the ashes that threatened to suffocate the band's young lungs, Some Will Be Saved is destined to turn heads and sweep this nation, this world, off it's feet: Metal meets meaningful, Brutality meets love, Death meets life, and God meets you. Some Will Be Saved is a band of Christ followers who love every aspect of intense, raw, in-your-face metal and GOD!!!!!!!!

The son of two loving parents and the absolute spawn of Edward Freytag, Brad was asked to join the band by drumming buddy Tyler Shapard, but not to drum......to sing. Incredibly nervous and hesitant, Brad agreed and immediately fell in love with the intense passion shown through metal and those who perform it.

This band is home to Mr. Metal himself, Kirk Lee. Being in multiple bands and on multiple cds, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to this genre, and honestly you're not metal unless he gives you his trademark "Metal Card" in our band anyway. But in all seriousness, an incredibly talented metal guitarist, his riffs will be stuck in your head forever. The perfect amount of "heavy" to put your body in motion at a show, balanced with equally perfect amount of heart and passion for you to feel it while listening at home.

Also a student of Edward Freytag and being coached by multiple other drummers, Shef is the man holding it down on the skins. An intense business personailty has given him a second nickname, Lars. He takes care of the other members, handling all the little details that we all look over.

A jaw dropping talent, the youngest member pf the band, Shane Moreno, joined the band in May 2008, bringing a new flavor, more speed, and pretty freakin awesome sweeps.Most of you have undoubtedly have seen him at local shows around Nashville. When you think of someone supporting local talent, you are thinking of Shane. He supported members Kirk Lee and Tyler Shapard when they were a part of Over The Threshold and jumped at the chance to play with us. The kid has heart and talent to spare.

Ryan Wobensmith is a new addition to the lovers of metal and the like. Though he is new to the team it is guaranteed he will give you a run for your money on various metal trivia. We are extremely proud to have him along our side. He brings an enthusiastic love of brothers/friends to us. He is a great musician and about as fun as you can get. His greatest quality is his never say die attitude and willingness to succeed. He keeps us on track in music as well as in our hearts.

We are here to for a purpose greater than our own. It is easy to get wrapped up in the music and the party. We sometimes forget the big picture in all of the fun we have with our friends in and out of other bands. We strive to be a light in darkness to everyone.

Although we all love what we do We greatly take in consideration that we wouldn't be where we are today if it was not for the big man up stairs who we thank greatly for our talents. We truly feel we were put on this earth by him to show everyone... you can worship God in all art forms and he will always love you...
