Some Years Later was formed in the summer of 2005 by singer/songwriter Robert Patrick. Since then, the band has performed with such artists as Eddie Money,Kansas, Enuff Znuff, Lou Gramm of Foriegner, The legendary Yard birds,The Verve Pipe, 12 Stones, Poi Dog Pondering. Also the legendary Magic Slim and various other performers. Robert Patrick is a veteran of countless venues and shows across North America for over 10 years.
While lead man Robert Patrick had been involved in several original and group projects, the chemistry and music of his project SYL was just right.
SYL has played in various venues throughout the Midwest. They continue to amaze their audiences at their performances with their catchy riffs, amazing harmonies, and intense energy. Because of the overwhelmingly favorable response of new audiences hearing them for the first time, SYL has been asked to backup many national acts, most recently Kansas,Twelve Stones , Blue October , The Verve Pipe , Uli Jon Roth of The Scorpions and Eddie Money.
In addition to their busy schedule of entertaining crowds, SYL is looking forward to their big CD release party at Chicago"s premiere venue in May 2011, followed by a national tour.

This type of music always ends up on my i Pod. This band has successfully combined good old fashioned rock and roll and the best of today"s alternative. When I think of Some Years Later I think of projection and excellence."
