Sunset of my Sunrise

Sunset of my Sunrise was formed in 2007 by Stefano Michieletto and Stephen Simmons. Stephen and Stefano first met in London, England in April 2004 while attending a music institution. During this nine month tenure of steady studying, drinking and composing, Steve and Stefano developed a close friendship and an incredible musical bond. Even though their musical differences were sometimes huge, the two musicians found this enhanced any musical conversation they had. After the long nine months of school, Stephen and Stefano parted ways, but kept in close contact. In May 2007 Stefano invited Steve to Italy to begin work on an album, initially releasing the Ep "The Consequence", but continued to lay tracks for the full length cd. Eventually the pair moved to Newfoundland to finish up work on the album. In April 2008, Stephen and Stefano found bassist Stevi G, and the trio worked towards finishing the album. In January of 2008 the band placed an ad for a lead guitarist, and Sean Mugford answered the call. In February of 2008, the band finally finished work on their debut album "The Consequence of a Coincidence", and are now setting up to tour in the Summer of 2008 to promote it.

Sunset of my Sunrise sound can be best described as 'emo-tinged' alternative rock, a mix of heavy and light alternative rock songs with an emo feel. Their music features the standard mix of electric guitars, bass, and drums, ut also with a unique mix of acoustic guitar, piano, and violin.
