Son Clave

Lead by Mexican percussionist Carlos Navae, Son Clave is here with the purpose of playing full-on red hot Latin Music that will have you dancing all night.
Son Clave (previously known as "Clave Latina") was formed in 2005. Beginning as a Salsa band, Son Clave have now grown to include a broad repertoire of Rumba, salsa, cumbia, merengue and cha cha cha. They have been evolving and growing in the music scene in Wellington ever since, performing many shows and making many appearances, discovering new sounds and styles. Years of experience has lead to a fusion of latin beats with a distinctive Kiwi feel, resulting in Son Clave's unique sound. Son Clave is composed of talented musicians from diverse backgrounds, all with one goal: to fuse a piece of latin america with Aotearoa and the world. What makes the difference from other bands is that Son Clave has their own original way to express music with their own compositions. Never sticking to the same thing, never looking back always and forever changing and evolving!!!!!
