Songlax, born Patrick Onyekachukwu Udeh on 30 May 1983 in Lagos, Nigeria is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. In 2009, he released his debut single, "Celebrate Naija," a song commemorating the 10th anniversary of Democracy in Nigeria. Written, arranged and produced in his one room apartment, it achieved promotional success in the South-east region of the country where it achieved a 'street anthem' status around the May 29 celebration.
Songlax is a graduate of Mass Communication and social poet. While in the university, he released 'My Life' in collaboration with Prestige, and 'Only Two Options' which he performed at various university shows in Port-Harcourt, Awka, Owerri and Enugu.
On 30 September 2010, Songlax released his 'unmixed' and 'un-mastered' single, 'Baby Fatima' on the last.fm internet radio platform.
Songlax's songs are dancehall and pop, and potential hit-makers.
Songlax is presently unsigned.
