Bio
Songs of Aran is singer-songwriter Aran Jeurissen. After playing in indie band Fold, with whom he has played tons of shows including venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg and 013, Aran decided to focus on his acoustic songs. He has recently recorded his first full length album called ‘Nothing Personal’. A variety of songs written over the past 2 years and now brought to life with the help of studio engineer Theo Vogelaars and Attie Bauw. The songs have an acoustic feel, ranging from pop to folk and even a bit of new wave.
Songs of Aran has played support shows for artists like Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), Tim Akkerman (ex-Di-rect), Iain Matthews, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and many others. In 2011 and 2012 Songs of Aran has participated in the biggest dutch music competition ‘De Grote Prijs van Nederland’. The song ‘Slowdive’ has been performed live on 3FM and these are just some highlights because many more have yet to come. At the moment Songs of Aran is writing material for a new album which will be due in 2013.
