Bio

The American blues echoes off the valley walls of Southwestern Wisconsin. As comfortable there as the wind in the willows. Scott Wilcox writes stories with soul and meaning. They paint the pictures of lives lived simply and honestly in a place where working hard and doing what's right is natural.

Let Scott's lyrics paint a picture for you.

"Summer wind, down a long country road. Americana Blues singin' soft and low. My mind keeps time with the daffodil. To the rhythm and rhyme of a whippoorwill." Holiday Road by Scott Wilcox

"You can't own the mountain, it's hard to explain. No matter how far you run your soul remains" My Early Years by Scott Wilcox

Scott's voice is electric. Powerful enough to warm the room on a cold wintery evening, and bright enough to cut through a dark lonely sky. Steve Leslie, songwriter for artists like George Strait, Darius Rucker, Mark Chesnutt, and Darryl Worley, said “With (Scott’s) voice he could make Mary Had a Little Lamb sound great!” Scott's performance is so much more than a collection of songs, its an experience to take with you and remember over and over again.

Scott grew up the son of a radio disc jockey. He was raised on the floor of radio stations all over the USA. With every move and format change Scott soaked in the sounds and heartbeats of the music and cultures along the way. At the age of 12 his parents divorced and he landed in the hills of Southwestern Wisconsin. This is where his heart is, in God's country. He took the sound of the hills and poured in a mix of country and blues that is truly all his own.

Lizzie Hengber songwriter for Reba McEntire, Andy Griggs, Peter Cetera and many more said Scott's writing was just beautiful and she said "the visuals (were) wonderful".

Scott lives with his wife Brenda and three children, Kayla, Laura and Adam in the hills of Southwestern Wisconsin surrounded by long birches and tiny Bear Creek.
