Bio

SonicBlu Project has pleasured smooth jazz fans for over 30 years. Their mission and purpose has always been to simply play good music that moves you and makes you want to come back for more. Over the years, the duo have played individually with a variety of bands to collectively evolve into the SonicBlu Project. Today, they are one of the HOTTEST smooth jazz acts in the Kentucky and Indiana areas.

The duo originates out of Louisville, KY. They are multi-talented artists and accomplished musicians, Tony Fish (sax and vocals), and Joey Byars (synth, drums and electric bass). Together, these well-seasoned veteran artists and musical collaborators create a melodic balance and smooth blend of contemporary and traditional jazz, R&B, and soul with an occasional sprinkle of rock and hip hop that leaves you well stirred and dancing in your seats. They are passionate and love what they do, and with whom they do it with. That’s the secret to a solid sound and staying together. Simply put, they love playing music and are very dedicated to their craft. Most importantly, SonicBlu Project's goal is to always try to connect with the audience and make them feel like a part of the show. Whether playing cover tracks or original compositions, they create a positive energy that not only keeps their passion alive for playing music, but also keeps their fans and supporters wanting to come back for more.

Looking to the Future –
SonicBlu Project continues to grow musically and spiritually. They continue to bring jazzy, soul stirring, finger snapping, feet tapping good music to fans of smooth jazz. They also hope that along the way, they can capture some new fans from other music genres as well. These days the duo is very focused with a driven passion for creating original compositions. Featuring some incredibly gifted musicians, they’ve taken their talents and musical skills to the next level. From these creative collaborations emerged not one, but four brand new original tracks, “Tailspin”, "All Things In Time", "Funkafish" and "Rally 4 Mr. White". This is the first of many efforts in their quest to write good quality music that touches people’s souls. Plans to record their first CD are underway, with hopes of gaining some national recognition and finally be considered as national recording artists. However, should that never happen, they are content and feel extremely blessed in knowing that over the course of their careers individually and collectively, they have loving families, they have made a lot of great music, met a lot of great people, put smiles on a lot of faces and made a lot of people feel good about themselves. Great music inspired by many special people and many special moments. The members of Son
