Built from Tampa Bay's most successful cover bands, "Sonic Boom" has the musicianship, talent, and stage presence unmatched in the area. We live to play, and it shows. Our motto is to bring the feel of a national concert to every venue we play, large or small. We are constantly changing and updating our song list to stay on top of the top 20 songs in our genre, new rock.
As we come from some well known bands in the area, our following was there from the start, and they have helped us make "Sonic Boom" very popular, very fast.
Shawn Brian Gregory is a well known "hired gun" for both guitar and voice. He has been a part of many bands in the area, such as The Untouchables,( a semi permanent fill in, some times for months at a time in the past ), The Rhythm Method, The Funk Soul Brothers, Shut ( guitar phenom Gary Schutt's original,/cover band), The Hunks of Funk, and Ronnie Dee, Tampa's long time son of soul and Funk.
Robert Finan has spent the last10 years in Sequel, a nationally known cover/ original band, wildly popular in the club and show venues.
Casey Grillo has been a member of many national and local groups over the years, most notably, " Kamelot", an internationally known melodic metal band.
With the help of our fans from these former bands, Sonic Boom is set to continue to build and grow, and bring their friends wherever they go.
