"5 OUT OF 5 STARS"

Sonic Bridge plays with strong melodies and poetic words and do both well, but it's his ability to create a world or scenario around the listener that distinguishes him from other singer/songwriters. If you listen with your eyes closed, you might become convinced that you could simply open them and walk out into the worlds and moments that Bridge sings about on American dReam. The fact that many of his themes are universal helps, but Bridge has a singular ability to find that one detail in his lyrics that makes the moment real. This is not a gift that can be learned or taught. American dReam mixes serious social commentary, humor and fantastic songwriting to create a listening experience you won't soon forget. American dReam is magical; a Wildy's World Certified Desert Island Disc. Don't miss out on this one!

Rating: 5 Stars (Out of 5)

"American dReam Draws From Deep Personal Experiences"

Drawing from deep personal experiences, Marc Bridge delivers a poignant new CD entitled "American dReam", filled with striking lyrics and superb musicianship. The horrific events of September 11th touched everyone in different ways. American dReam is how Bridge dealt with the tragedy and his own mortality.

"Sunrise First Take Music Review February 22nd, 2010"

"A man, a guitar, and a crazy world can make interesting music together."...that's the bold statement that will greet you when you visit Sonic Bridge's Facebook page. This artist from Boston doesn't care to reveal his real name...which I guess allows him the latitude to address all of the off-beat issues that face us today.

What we have here is a guy who seems to have a decent day job in the working world who likes to write politically charged satire in his spare time. The result is the most unusual, out of the box, album of any year, American dReam.

You name it, Sonic Bridge seems to have a song for it...whether it's America's love affair with the cult of celebrity (Celebrity Society)..or the country's obsession with designer pets (Doggie Style)...or America's enduring pain of 9/11 almost 10 years after the fact (One Floor Taller), Sonic Bridge goes head long into the breach. The proceeds of the latter song, by the way, goes to orphans of victims of the twin towers.

The music is a blend of folk and Americana... the lyrics are very matter of fact with a nod and a wink....And then there are the really strange songs like The Polar Bear Giraffe, which recounts how a polar bear mates with a giraffe (maybe a weird swipe at global warming).

Let's not leave out Same Sex Marriage...with lyrics like "I dont need no high court ruling, I dont care what they have to say. Im perfectly adjusted and im not even gay. Im in a Same Sex Marriage, I have the same sex everyday", I mean, how can a songwriter go wrong.

My choice of tracks: One Floor Taller, Same Sex Marriage, The Polar Bear Giraffe.

"American dReam Gets 5 McRiprock's!"

Sonic Bridge aka Marc Bridge can tell a damn story. He does it easily with wit and humor. The album begins with the truthful and witty “Celebrity Society” which examines the facade of modern day American culture through the narrator’s ambitions for get-rich-schemes. The title track, “American dReam,” plays out similarly to the first track using humor to examine the grey life marked by struggle and hard choices that is quite familiar. The album definitely highlights Bridge’s straightforward songwriting style. Backed by an all-star cast of supporting musicians, the album uses an eclectic mix of styles to showcase the lyric in its best light. He is exemplary in mixing serious social commentary with humor, great songwriting and an unforgettable sound.

I suppose you would call me a Folk Singer/Songwriter which is a fancy way of saying that I'm a story teller with a guitar who uses modern day society, politics and relationships to weave an entertaining view of life through my twisted lens. It's the "twist" that I put on topics that makes my songs and performances unique and memorable. For me, the lyric has always held a special place in a song. That's not to say that I don't care about instrumentation, I do deeply. But, I believe that the perfect song is a marriage of a meaningful lyric coupled with an infectious melody. My melodies know no genre boundaries, using an eclectic mix of styles to show the lyric in its best light. This results in a pretty diversified expression of sound which is a byproduct of the music I like to listen to which favors Loudon Wainwright III, Arlo Guthrie, James Taylor, Neil Young, Warren Zevon, Antje Duvekot and Richard Shindell.

I released my first CD "American dReam" in 2009 and have had the the good fortune of some great reviews. I am a frequent performer at a variety of open mics in the Boston metro area and have performed at Johnny D's, The Amazing Things Arts Center, The Center for the Arts In Natick, The Rose Room Revue among others. I have made Television appearances on NECN's "Morning Coffeehouse", Manhattan Neighborhood Networks show "Different Voices" and radio performances on WMBR radio program "Radio With A View" and WICN's Folk Revival program with Nick Noble.

I have opened for Antje Duvekot and Annie Raines and Paul Rishell.
