"Music City CD Corner"

A respected writer in the Nashville Community. The Artist shows off his bluegrass roots and Bob Dylan influences on this CD. All 10 cuts were written and produced by him. The music is folksywith a tinge of rock & roll that will keep you moving to the beat. The guy has a lot of soul which is artfully demonstrated on the song "Standing Still". Order the album off of his website or Itunes, or CD Baby.
Rating: 6 out of 7 stars - Brad Fischer

"Tired of the mainstream?"

Strangers again...A theme that is consistent throughout each track of this brilliant body of work. Sonny's songwriting is a dagger that cuts through every human emotion. His acoustic balled "Standing Still" reveals the naked vulnerability felt while watching the one who left, move on effortlessly. "Life is Good" is a light hearted reminder that the lows & highs are all but trivial in the big picture. Then he comes back with the vengeful, hard driving smash hit, "Break It All The Way"
Sonny's band "The Puppeteers" all played with excellent and diverse musicianship.
The 10 songs on this CD range from banjo laden bluegrass arrangements to flat out modern Rock with a retro feel from the 60s. - Nashville Music Guide

Bio

Sonny was born and lived his early years in Indiana. It is there that he fell in love with music. His grandfather would host an annual bluegrass festival and taught him how to play guitar when he was 8. His love for bluegrass, folk, and country music, was nurtured and he was soon performing on his grandfatherÕs stage as early as 9 years old.
Sonny's family moved out west to a small town in the mountains of Washington. He was instantly captivated by Bob Dylan the first time he heard 'Like a Rolling Stone' on a soundtrack of a movie he was watching on the family TV. That was enough to spark his interest in writing.
Since moving to Nashville, Sonny has been successful playing the local club scene and is extremely well received in the Americana genre.
Sonny is well respected by the music community as a great writer. His eclectic style leads him to craft songs that are a melodic combination of the genres he grew up with, along with deep lyrics that explore topics everyone can relate to. While this style is set apart from the standard country sound that is prevalent in his hometown of Nashville, it has also been met with a great deal of praise by critics and fans alike.
