SONOMA SOUND is Will Paynter on vocals & acoustic bass guitar, Jay Popky on vocals & guitar, Paul Downie on vocals & drums/percussion, Dean Sophocles on piano & organ, Jake L'Armand on violin and Robert Veith on the five string electric bass. Together, they play a sonic tapestry of original roots music with threads of Americana, Blues, Folk, Jazz and World rhythms that blur the lines of musical category. Their eclectic performance sung in English and Spanish, consists of conscious lyrics sung over steady rhythms with wandering melodic solos. It is music quite unlike anything you have heard before.
