Bio

It didn’t take long for the talents of front man Conrad Sewell to be recognized. At the age of 14 Conrad was embracing the performing arts and developing his unique vocal style. While in high school he joined up with Matt Copley and they started performing as a duo around the local Brisbane area.

It was while they were showcasing as a duo in the local music scene they met fellow band members Peter Tep, Maui Maui and Mitch Lewis and thus Sons of Midnight were born.

During this time The Killers and Phoenix inspired band caught the ear of internationally renowned music publisher Hayden Bell (Savage Garden, The Veronicas) and artist manager Julian Origliasso (The Veronicas) who saw a lot of potential in Conrad’s unique singer/songwriter abilities and the musical connection between the band.

This found the boys traveling overseas to Los Angeles, London and Sweden working with a long list of internationally acclaimed producers and songwriters such as Jamie Hartman (Jason Maraz, Joss Stone), Tony Gad (Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Fergie) and Jeff Barry (The Beach Boys, Neil Diamond). It was during these travels the Sons of Midnight developed their own unique musical style that has resulted in their debut album due out in 2011.

After finishing the album in early 2011, it wasn’t long until the band started attracting the attention of the major labels throughout the world. After hearing the demos from the debut album, artist manager Gary Stamler (Crowded House, Daniel Powter) joined the team determined to help launch the Sons of Midnight as the next big rock/pop act to come out of Brisbane, Australia. Negotiations are currently taking place with major labels and booking agents in several territories regarding the release of the debut album and ultimately the launch of the next big thing in pop music culture.
