Toronto is a melting pot of talented new voices that run the gambit in terms of vibes and flows. Rapper Soo Casa is one such new act looking to pop off in the city, which currently has an aggressive spotlight pointed squarely at it. Only a year into his career, he’s managed to amass a solid following and some great looks.

Having performed across North America with artists such as the ever eclectic Jody Highroller, better known as RiFF RaFF, buzz-worthy Jarren Benton, and hometown hero Peter Jackson — whose worked with acts like D-Block and Naughty By Nature — he’s begun to a snowball effect, clocking thousands of spins.

A dope — albeit not that unique — blend of the melodic wave of cloud-rap mashed with lyricism, he comes off as a strong contender for the next class of artists hailing from the capital of Ontario.

Toronto rapper Soo Casa — who has appeared on AAHH in the past — is back with a hot new single in advance of his first headlining show next month (November). “I plan to release more tracks on a consistent basis leading up to that,” he tells AAHH.

“Cldhnky,” the first song mixed and mastered by Soo Casa (a la J.Cole/Russ) is a braggadocios planting of a flag in the game. A suitable follow-up to “nolovesongs” which he dropped two months ago, he proclaims himself as the “coldest honky in the game right now,” peppering the bassy Ninety8 produced instrumental with a barrage of punchlines. It’s a little more bar for bar Hip Hop, which is sure to help build his profile as a spitter.

Soo has been building a cult-like following on his social media profiles as of late and is hoping that organic grind will translate into further exposure as he begins to drop songs at a more feverish pace throughout the 4th quarter on 2017. - Above Average Hip Hop

Toronto rapper Soo Casa is continuing his run with a brand new single featuring fellow Canadian artist Kid Frankie. The song “Regardless” is beaming with potential. The chunky bass and Auto-Tune tinged vocals mashed with the commercially viable production make for a solid effort. “Imma put a flex on you regardless,” the two croon on the hook. Both artists mesh well sonically—and should consider a full length or EP.

With only two songs on SoundCloud, [Frankie] already has a substantial following. This song is one that they both believe will put them on the list of next up artists on the Canadian landscape. Opening for Sean Kingston in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada) on December 11th, Soo Casa will be bringing Frankie out to perform the new single during his set—so stay tuned for the live footage next month.
