Bio

Formely the T.C. Racers, Damien and Roland having learnt the Irish Music scene with gigs in the Temple Bar Music Centre, Whelans, The Village and the Red Box(supporting JJ72) and having recorded in studios such as Sun, Appollo and Pulse decided to form something new. As their opening track clearly dictates Death to the T.C.'s came first announcing the arrival of Sopers Dirt and the plan to do things differently. The first addition to the band was Wayne, a singer song writer born of Sonic Youth and the Dandy Warhols unleashing a voice to make a Wolverine purr and accompanied by his best friend and recently graduated of the Ballyfermot Rock School, bass player Joey. The format was set.
Sopers Dirt set out and achieve an accomplished blend of old school influences such The Pixes, Sonic Youth, Thrown Muses and the Butthole Surfers with newer influences such as Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, Death from Above 1979, Elliot Smith and Eagles of Death Metal.
The bands blend of energetic, hook laden and original songs, combined with a level playing field for all the instruments used have meant already they have a popular following on the Dublin gig scene.
After headlining gigs in the Temple Bar Music Centre and Whelans the band have recently recorded their first collection of songs with fantastic results and are now looking to the future to expand their fan base and bring their eclectic style of aternitive rock to the masses.
