The artist is connected to the music for several years, either through own projects,
whether connected to bands where she participated as a guest to lead vocals and
backing vocals.

It was in 2001 that recorded her first album Pensa Positivo / "Think Positive".

The following year, 2002 continued to promote the album doing the first parts of the
artists Rui Veloso and Nuno Guerreiro.

In 2003 she was nominated for best voice in the category of best individual performer
in the Globos de ouro 2002, Golden Globes 2002.
In the same year, the artist made a duet with the singer Ryan Ferrada with the theme
recorded in London "Can let go".
Performed solo shows, inserted in the programming of concerts Coca Cola Portugal
Singing.
And to close the year participated in "Christmas Concerts" with orchestra, in some
churches of Lisbon, together with other singers.

In 2004 participated for the 2nd consecutive year in the project Coca Cola - Portugal
Singing, together with Miguel ngelo, Miguel Gameiro, Anabela, Filipe Gonalves e
Sofia Barbosa.
It was also in this year that the artist was invited to be part of the project 'The Five',
together with other singers, this project, whose concerts went through Portugal for
several years.

In 2007 was invited to sing a song for the novel "Ilha dos Amores"/ Island of the
love, with the name Perigo e seduo/ Danger and seduction.

In 2008 integrated the new project of Joo Gil to be part of the backing vocals.

During all these years the artist never stopped seek their own identity and was in
2009 that found its way and its place in the Portuguese music, recording the first
demo of this new work.

Finally in 2013 Sophia presents the album Amor segunda vista/"Love at Second
Sight".
This album depicts this constant search for a particular artist and persistence in
taking music as their way of life and in own name.
