Bio

I write most of my songs at home, up on the ranch, looking out over the hills and rolling fields. I have this massive rock that I sit on that looks over this glorious country that we own and the air is so clear, and there are no sounds except the thoughts in your head and the side company of the birds. It's there that I'm able to remember everyone in my life that's ever left a mark, or any emotion or moment that I just can't seem to forget. It's there with my paper, pen and guitar that I feel closest to myself and it is only there that I believe I could ever make sense of this world.

Acceptable originals started to fuse a couple of years ago when I had all this emotion and no outlet. I'd find myself voluntarily spending at least an hour a day sitting with pages and pages of dribble lyrics and I felt this need to make sense of them. Having taken piano and singing lessons since I was 8 and at the age of 13 having decided to broaden my horizons to guitar, my music passion has been something fizzling in my bones since I was born.
No matter where I was living throughout my life, city, country, England, my desire to make music and perform music was something I could not and would never want to shake.
The idea of it all is to tell a story, their all tokens of moments and stories of my life, and they're all very imperfect. I usually don't go over lyrics and I usually don't refine guitar and piano parts or melodies, as I like to keep my songs honest to the emotion, moment and melody.
I have to tell you that I'm only just beginning to introduce myself to this world. This year and last year found me a very inspirational guitar teacher who was the first to hear my first ever song, and has ever since been a constant light and encouragement, doing countless hours of recording time with me, helping me enter song competitions and giving me all the right motivation to continue my current work on a demo. Up until about then my songs had been kept in a book beside my drawings and photos and poems and therefore my CV won't be as impressive as some, but I'm getting out there.
There's nothing else I can see myself doing. Nothing else fits. Music just fits.
