Sorin Bojin

Sorin Bojin is an independent singer, songwriter and worship leader who is passionate about making music for the church and seeing people connect with God. His newly released self-titled debut album now available on iTunes is a collection of worship songs written with the church in mind. The first song on the record titled “To Know Your Name” is a declaration of hope and trust, reminding us that even though life has its disappointments, God’s grace is sufficient for us in those times and His love always surpasses our failures. Even in the middle of the storm God is still there walking with us, carrying us. The album continues with an upbeat song titled “Your Love Is Greater”, that will draw the listener in with its rhythm, compelling them to singalong and to quote some of the lyrics “lay our burdens down and fix our eyes on You.” 

“Growing up in church I’ve always had a deep appreciation for spending time in God’s presence, worshipping Him in hard times and good times, learning that worship is an attitude of the heart, it's a daily reliance on the grace of God, a constant dependance on Jesus”, says the 30 year old worship artist. “When life is though it’s easy to get discouraged and stop believing that there will be better days ahead, but that's where faith comes in, that's what worship is, we just have to believe that God has us in His arms, He is on our side”, he continues.

Sorin’s journey began in a small town called Zervesti in a country situated in Central Europe known as Romania. He grew up in a home that was filled with music and began singing at an early age in the church where his grandfather was a pastor. After a few years he moved to a nearby city to join the church where his uncle was the youth director and got involved in the youth worship ministry. His uncle had the greatest influence on him choosing the path he is on today. Talking about his uncle Pavel Oprea, he says, “He always encouraged me to pick up the guitar and get involved in some way, make a difference in someone’s life. He was relentless in his desire to see me become everything God wanted me to be. He believed in me from the beggining. He saw something in me that I didn't see at that time.”

Sorin was the lead singer of a worship band for over seven years. In 2006 he recorded a worship album with the band called “All I Want.” This brought invitations to sing at churches, conferences and music festivals across the country. The band was nominated for best worship band at Quo Vadis music festival later that year. The following year Sorin moved to London, England to attend Hillsong Church. Here he joined the worship team and the production team and also received production assistant credit on the “Hail To The King” live album released in 2008. In 2009 he got married to Diana and moved to Los Angeles, California, where he now resides. Sorin and his wife Diana have a beautiful 2 year old daughter, her name is Adalyn Grace.
