Bio
Breaking Bridges is a new pop rock band formed by four guys who have been around the Calgary scene for awhile in bands like Hot Little Rocket, shecky formé, and Key To The City, and Aaron Booth's solo project.
We are: Aaron Booth and Aaron Smelski on guitars/vocals, Joel Tobman on bass and Jon Pynn on drums.
Between the four of us, we've also toured various projects across Canada, Europe and Japan. Aaron Booth has released five solo records since the early 2000s and has worked with bands in Toronto and Montreal like Snailhouse and Lake Holiday.
Fun fact: you could say Breaking Bridges is a twentieth anniversary celebration of Aaron and Aaron founding their first band together back in the day - a Joy Division inspired, shoegazing outing called Sky Suspended. Been friends and fans of each other all along but this is the first time we've been in the same band since.
Album coming out this summer. For now, the songs you hear on this page are DEMOS for the purpose of giving an idea of the sound.
