So The Kid

My stage name is So The Kid. I'm an up and coming FEMALE hip hop artist. People wonder why I go by this, I originally went by Picasso The Kid but I came to realize that name is too popular and common. I wanted to stand out more so I changed my name to So The Kid. Meaning when people think of "The Kid" their like "So The Kid?" like I dont matter but when you listen to my music your like alright "So The Kid have you listened to her music yet?" My influences in pursuing my music career for the most part is my mother's death in 2005. After she passed I had no way of venting my anger and all previous occurances in my life leading up to her death. In middle school I began playing Alto Sax, Baritone, and Tuba. I always loved the sound of music. And once I realized I was lyrically talented I decided to take this a step further because I do have a story to tell and why not turn it into a piece of art? I wanted to make not only myself proud but my mother who is watching me proud. My music is for everyone, in every gender, every race and each song song has a different sound.
