The Soul Creatures are a funk band from Houston, TX and their motto “Funk Heals” drives them to inspire desire and embrace the human race! Inspired by the catalogues of Parliament, Motown, Geffen, and Stax records, they also draw from legendary performers such as JB, MJ and Beyonce to form Soul Creatures’ distinct and unique brand of soulful funk music. Soul Creatures exploded onto the Houston Music Scene in 2014 and for the past 2 years have delivered their Outrageous and Contagious energy to audiences all over the city! Dubbed “Houston’s Best New Funk Band” by ELK Records, this sexy sextet has forged their talent and swagger into an electric, power-house stage showcase led by front-man and MC, Russell Martinez. This band moves and grooves to the pulse of the city with a sound so loud and proud that audiences everywhere feel a duty to shake their booty.
