Bio
If you had to choose a category, the style of Soulacious would be described as: Mainstream Rock. However, Soulacious is much more than just you're average rock band. Stylistically they use elements of Classic Rock, Pop, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Reggae and even some Hard Rock which gives them the creative freedom to constantly evolve their sound. The band emerged with the new millennium after winning the All State College Battle of the Bands. Its fan base has increased steadily since, reaching from Framingham to Boston, Worcester, Taunton, Webster and Rhode Island. The band continues to spread throughout New England.
Live Soulacious performances translate well into various music scenes; they include cover songs ranging from bands such as Tom Petty and Matchbox 20 to Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The local band’s original songs hook diverse audiences as well. “Every Road” displays rock influences, while “Dancing All Around,” appeals to a funkier crowd; the band even show a little heart with the pop-ballad “Those Times Are Over.” Soulacious’ ability to adapt to many types of audiences is a strong point for the band. Their diverse repertoire of covers and originals ensures a customized show for each particular venue.
Soulacious have opened for prominent acts Entrain, Jiggle, and the Dave Matthews cover band The Tripping Billies. The foursome’s onstage chemistry and tight performances make them an asset to any playbill. Soulacious is made up of Joe Sorrentino– Lead Vocals/ Guitar, David Pepin– Lead Guitar, Chris Wilson– Bass, and James Santosuosso– Drums.
Soulacious is currently without a label, but that has not stopped them from recording their debut album Find A Way at lead singer Joe Sorrentino’s studio Landslide Recording. Their album includes 12 original tracks and a music video for their song “Drifter.”
