Music Review Soular235 It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to write this review of Soular235 and his music, I only hope I can do him the justice he so clearly deserves! For My People is a song with a message, not just for the guys in “da hood” but one that can go worldwide. We all have our families, but this track helps us all realise we have global relatives, that earn and require respect from us all. I have managed, very easily, to fall in love with See You Smile. A beautifully crafted song (feat. Federro) that reminds me of the UK’s Craig David, but Soular235 still has his style stamped though it, and it would be so easy for Soular235 to head off into soul/R&B any time he chooses. By Hurting You is the second song I fell for hook, line and sinker. Soular235 has merged, effortlessly, two very different styles - his own and Hurt by Christina Aguilera (in itself a beautiful song that makes me cry every time). What a beautiful mix and one he should be extremely proud of! No-one could fail to hear the message of hope in Poverty To Prosperity, that goes out to all those people that think they are hard done by or down trodden by circumstance. Soular235 openly shows his Faith in this track, the message to focus on our goals and to aim for them, and that nothing is impossible to achieve. Don’t Worry is, to me, quite personal for Soular235. His struggle to be recognized in most aspects of his life. But also his rise above derision, and lack of encouragement, to get to where he wants to be, to succeed. And succeed he will! Tears Of Glory is a glorious fusion of Soular235’s rapping craft and Bhangra/Asian Underground, which is more than a nod to his ancestry. It deals with corruption, arms and chemicals. Even if the message is lost to you, the fusion is one that I personally could listen to a lot. Taken over all, Soular235 has converted me to Rap/Hip Hop, its not sugar coated commercial sentiment, but it’s the truth as he sees it. Beautiful mixes and heartfelt lyrics. What a combination! I am in awe of this guys professionalism, ethos and sheer determination to succeed.
