"Soul Descenders at POPs"

This young St. Louis band sounds well-versed in the classics of both '80s heavy metal and hard-core punk rock. Imagine a cross between the sloganeering of Fugazi and the chugging rhythms and guitar of Megadeth. They've already released an album, "Destruction for Tomorrow," that sounds as poised and professional as anything by their more famous peers.

"One of the best CD'S I have heard this year hands down"

SOUL DESCENDERS/Destruction For Tommorow - This brought a HUGE smile to my face. This is some godly thrash metal that I really, really liked. Riffs that had my head spinning and no tough guy vocals, just pure thrash metal vocals and this was old school all the way. The band don't always play fast and mix it up quite nicely and the production was not over the top and I like the guitar sound as it was different and the band can crank out some riffs that are sure to get necks moving. 12 tunes of pure thrash that any headbanger will want. Look for an interview with them if I can secure with. One of the best CD'S I have heard this year hands down. - Metal Core Fanzine

Bio

SOUL DESCENDERS with 2 previous released cd’s are currently working with Grammy award winning Producer Malcolm Springer for their 3rd release. Malcolm has taken the music of Soul Descenders to a level of hard rock pleasure that will melt in your mouth upon impact.
Drummer Zach Moiser formed the band in 2004 hooked up with guitarist Alex Skyles who was recognized after playing in a metal band with his dad at the age of 14. Alex later took over as lead vocalist while shredding above average guitar leads and ripping across the stage like a football pro. In 2006 Brian Wilkinson joined the band replacing the second guitarist which enhanced the ability to attribute dual guitar leads and more melodic secondary guitar riffs. In 2007 during the Destruction for Tomorrow weekend tours while in high school, the band moved roadie Jake Scheidl in as bass player which brought the bands image to completion and prepped the band to new vocal harmony heights while strengthening the background of the rhythm section.
Since the production of the new songs “Fly Free”, “Into the Ether” and “Timeless Statement”, Soul Descenders fans are left with great anticipation for the new upcoming album soon to be released under Angel Crush Records. These new songs produce an epic but aggressive sound that reaches out to new and previous SD fans along with a new rock format to attract all.
Once the completion of the Soul Descenders perfect 4, the band has succeeded in touring the Midwest every weekend while finishing high school and performing with national artist from Story of the Year, Shinedown, Bullet for my Valentine, Chevelle,  Soil Work, Devil Driver and many more… Soul Descenders performs a show full of unforgettable energy and great crowd reaction producing and on stage vibe making you want to see them again and again. Soul Descenders was currently noted as one of 3 great bands to see live in their home town St. Louis.
