Biography

Bram and his brothers (one more child came a couple years later named Josh) lived in a well-kept part ofNewarkand attended good schools. But the devil continuously tried to thwart God’s plans by making ways for Bram and Alex to get into all kinds of trouble. Alex was put into anger programs in kindergarten, while Bram himself found himself suspended from school as well (IN KINDERGARTEN). God continued to be with the family and graduated the two on despite their rough early years. God called Mrs. Meade home in 2001, when the boys were only five and three years of age. However God had recreated a splitting image of Sylvia in the form of her oldest child and daughter Samantha Williams.

Sam and her loving husband, Herbert Williams, took the boys in along with their two daughters, Bram’s nieces, and relocated toEdison,New Jerseywhere they lived for about 6 years. It was there that Bram started realizing his gifts in acting and music and the literary arts. He started attending Jehovah Jireh Praise andWorshipChurchCenter, (his sister’s home church inNewark,NJ) singing as a little boy in the church choir and ushering. He read a lot of fantasy books as a way of escape when he felt upset or sad thinking about his life and his mother. This reading later led him to challenge himself academically and later made him an honor roll student. Soon Bram and his family relocated again toEaston,Pennsylvaniain 2006. It was then that the devil came for him again.

Bram was soon exposed to sex, drugs, smoking and violence. Bram fought in his early teenage years and did whatever it took to gain acceptance by his peers not yet understanding that true acceptance comes from those who love and fear God. Never having sex and never smoking or drinking were big positives in Bram’s life as well as sports, falling deeply in love with basketball. But the roads he also took were cursing, fighting, stealing, and more. In doing this, the devil took him away from his gifts and had thought that he had taken Bram away from his destiny. But Bram’s guardians, Sam and Herb were with God and would never allow that to happen.

Sam was just like her mother and very into the word and church, participating in Youth Ministries for the young ladies. Herb also was involved in the ministries for the young men of the church. This first gave Bram insight into the struggles of other youth in the city ofNewarkand abroad. Soon, he actually began to hear his calling again by listening to the preaching of Bishop Rudy V. Carlton. He also was influenced by his niece to listen to Christian Hip-Hop Music. He fell in love with Mali Music (who some can tell he is a real fan), Da Truth, Lacrae and more. Soon Bram decided that music was his calling. But finding no outlet, he gave his dreams a rest.

Bram was hired to Target in November of 2011 and enjoyed the job where he met Steadman Robinson, CEO of EICJ Records a Christian Hip-Hop label out ofBethlehem,Pa, and sang the first of many songs that he would sing for him. He later signed on with the team that started as Steadman, G-Sep, and Bram. With the help of G, Bram decided to create the music name SouL.D (pronounced either Sold or Soul-Dee). However in the spring of 2012 faith and life was tested when Bram got in trouble with his job and family for stealing from his job. He was fired and in trouble and with no one to turn to, he looked to God. It was then that God turned Bram’s life around for good. Bram gave all of his past, his struggles, his trials, and tribulations away to the Lord. When statistics toldAmericathat a kid like SouL.D would be dead or in jail, he proved them wrong and through the grace of God is here to tell the world about his life and his purpose. SouL.D is here to change the world and the youth in it.

Bram is 17 and still lives inEaston,Pawith his twin and younger brother Joshua, as well as his two nieces, Shanelle and Tashonda, and loving caring sister Sam and only true worldly father figure, Herb. His older brother Robert is also in his life supporting while living inNew Yorkand his cousins fromNew Jerseyand everywhere else keeps Bram in prayer knowing God has a hand on the young man’s life. Bram also has an excellent relationship with his birth family where he has 15 brothers and sisters and a very supporting cast of cousins and an aunt who is very loving as well. Bram uses all of the love he has attained to give back to the children who have none and who are in need of it. He also tries to instill his Christian music into his friends, already changing some of his closest friend’s lives, and ending some of the devil’s worst traps on their lives as well.

“I’m here for the teens,” proclaims SouL.D. “In this day and age, kids need something they are going to be able to understand all the time. Otherwise, how will they know who they really are in God? How will they know who and what is trying to come for their destinies? I’m here for change and I won’t stop until every knee
