daRome Bentley has had a love for singing and music since he was four years old singing in the choir. He's a former Missouri resident and he is presently living in Atlanta, Georgia. Going back a few years; daRome says was circulating an industry party when he met one of Dallas Austin's Intern's. This particular Intern was so impressed with daRome's style until he encouraged him to have a demo ready for their very next meeting. DaRome was certainly putting in his dues and before you know it he was relocating to Atlanta. In an industry already flourished with numerous soul singers, daRome Bentley brings a smooth and unique style to R&B touting him as soul musics new elite artist on the scene.
With a vibe as smooth as his looks, daRomes hot lyrics and catchy melodys reassure listeners that R&B still has its place in the music industry. FM Sound.com says, daRomes Ever Endeavor CD proves once again that good R & B is not dead.
A native of Oklahoma, daRome began his musical journey singing in the church choir. Eventually he had the opportunity to tour with several R&B groups opening for artists such as K-CI & JO JO, Next and JOE. Although his voice alone is enough to put him on top as an artist, daRome is also an established writer and producer who states Writing from the soul is what makes a real soul artist.
daRome currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia (referred to as the next Motown of the south) and has successfully competed in songwriting competitions, proving himself as a well respected songwriter/performer. daRome was a finalist in GMIA (Georgia Music Industry Associations) Songwriting Competition and The International Songwriting Competition where he competed against thousands of other artists. daRome has most recently been awarded the winner of the BMI 2006 DEMO Contest. In addition, he has performed in some of Atlantas Atlantis Music Conferences.
In addition to competitions, daRome has performed at various hotspots in Atlanta such as The Velvet Room, Earth Link Live and at the infamous Apache Café. daRomes music takes to mainstream giving a laid-back aesthetic urban soul vibe. Listeners are guaranteed to get caught up in the music which expresses universal views of love, life and influences of music icons such as Marvin Gaye, Maxwell, Eric Bene't, Musiq Soulchild and Kenny Lattimore.
