“SOULFIX gracefully walks the line between straight-ahead rock and melodic pop on their album Living Numb." - Illinois Entertainer
"SOULFIX was one of Chicago’s most pleasant musical surprises of the year." - www.chicagogigs.com
"The most refreshing element about "Living Numb" is the attention to lyrics." - Western Illinois Courier
Unabashedly heavy alternative rock finds a home in the amplifiers of these locals. Not that anyone needs an excuse to rock, but the band will be celebrating its new album, "Seep," after two years of intense writing and recording. The title track aggressively thrusts its way into your head and refuses to leave without making a favorable impression. - Chicago Sun Times
Though Soulfix's bio is lacking in eloquence—it begins with the question "Do you believe in shit that is real?"—it hints at the local trio's desire to make passionate, relevant music. Though blinding studio sheen occasionally misses that mark, the jagged hooks of Soulfix's pop-punk at least have their hearts in the right place. - The Onion
Two years of intense writing and recording preceded the completion of Soulfix's latest album "Seep," which was released at Double Door in December, 2007. The result is an aggressive record that is lyrically introspective and passionately melodic in sound. Songs such as "More" and the title track "Seep" showcase the band's heavier rock influences, while the dramatic "Meaning of Life" embraces a blues-like trance that mesmerizes its listener. - Top40-charts.com
"Only two bands truly distinguish themselves on Windy City Records’ 21-song Hostage Radio: Winter Compilation 2006. That’s saying a lot about those two bands, but it’s also a commentary on the rest of the tracks. “Seep” by SoulFix rocks the hardest."

Bio
Soulfix is "unabashedly heavy alternative rock" that "thrusts its way into your head and refuses to leave without making a favorable impression." (Chicago Sun Times). The 2008 release Seep exemplifies this perfectly. Soulfix's music is an unbridled energy that emits echoes of blues and pop. It is driven by an amazing rhythm section that is dynamic, powerful and precise. This infusion of blues, pop and heavy rock and roll began over seven years ago, when the band released their first album, Living Numb (Nation Records). At this point SoulFix's sound "gracefully walked the line between straight ahead rock and melodic pop" (Illinois Entertainer, 2001).
Since hitting the Chicago music scene in 2000 the band has shared its vision on some of the most distinguished Chicago stages like the Metro, Double Door, House of Blues, Cubby Bear, Subterranean, Durty Nellie's and Martyr's. On the road, SoulFix rocked the stage of the famed CBGB's in New York and embarked on a well received UK tour to promote their debut album, Living Numb. Other highlights include opening for national acts Staind and King's X and side stage performances at the Tweeter Center and Alpine Valley.
