Bio

I started rapping and writing songs with my Brother Chris Duran in the 9th Grade. As a young teenager I got caught up in the street life along with drugs and alcohol. When I was three years old I was diagnosed with Childhood Leukemia which took the lives of many children my age some of which I came to know as friends before they passed. In my life God has played a very important role. He has seen me through a lot of storms and always been there to love me. Through my trying teen years music was the only way I could truly express what I was feeling. It was the only way I could communicate to others who I was and what I truly wanted. When I was 18 my friends and I were at a party and I never would have thought that Porkchop and I would be speaking for the last time. A couple of days after the party I came home to find out that Porkchop had been in a car accident that had taken his life. At this point in my life I was as far away from God as you could possibly be I think. I mean I never went to church all I wanted to do was get drunk, snort some cocaine, and get high with my friends. I was really depressed and this just made matters worse I couldn’t understand it, but for some reason I just stopped the partying. I didn’t want it anymore. With High School graduation around the corner I had no idea if I would make it, but I dove into my school work and decided from that point on that I wanted a better life. I didn’t want to be one of those 30 year old fathers in the ghetto that slept all day, never went to work, and partied with their own children. I wanted to do something. I wanted to go to College. I finished High School and received my Diploma. I started college the fall semester right out of High School in 2002. It took me Five years in college to figure out what I wanted to do. I gave my heart to Christ during my fourth year in college and decided that this is the direction I want to go. Now with My Associates Degree in Sound Technology under my belt I am here saying that I have found my way and with God’s help know of Hope and Love that I could have only dreamed of and never imagined. As an artist I have many influences, but the most influential person besides my Heavenly Father is My Father Billy Duke. He has taught me the true meaning of honest labor, and I thank him for pushing me to be the best that I can be.
