"Terminal West Concert Review"

All 4 members of Soul Mechanic are extremely talented musicians. The type of musicians that are so comfortable with their instruments, that they’re simply feeling them and losing theirselves in the delivery. Soul Mechanic is funakfied goodness wrapped up into an almost Dave Matthews Band vibe delivering quirky rhythms, funky intricate bass lines, snappy drums, technical guitar riffs and smooth sax fills. - Funkatopia

Bio

Soul Mechanic formed in early 2011 with founding members Tyler Reddick and Clark Jackson, aiming to put together a funky jam band that can set out and conquer the festival circuit. While they're a funk band with an innovative progressive rock sound, you'll hear elements of laid back modal jazz, classic rock, reggae, and they don't hesitate to jam when they see an opportunity.
Guitarist Clark Jackson trained for years at the Atlanta Institute of Music with the legendary Jimmy Herring, and it shows in his aggressive play. Tyler Reddick has been honing his bass skills for 10+ years and he's not stopping now. He'll lay down just about every style imaginable throughout their live show. Tyler Wright was added on percussion in the summer of 2012. Tyler has played drums his entire life, spending his last 10 years touring as a session musician for names such as Earth, Wind and Fire, BB King, Joe Purdy, Allison Krauss and Union Station, James Taylor, Slightly Stoopid, and Robert Randolph.
You know the "that's just nasty" face? You'll make that face a lot at their shows.
In February 2012 they released their debut EP "Anonymous", in anticipation of hitting the festival circuit hard. In the summer of 2011 they added sax phenom Jon Elliot to the lineup, you don't wanna miss it when Jon is gettin' it.
