Bio

Soul Octane Burner founded in 2001, was the brainchild of then drummer Dave Bellimer and bassist H.Gene Gray. Suffering multiple line-up changes, they survived and pushed on to form one of the greatest bands to ever come from New Hampshire. Dave and Gene enlisted the services of guitar whiz Shane Davis. Shane was also a member of local act "Element Of Animosity" with Gene. Shane and Dave worked previously in progressive metal act “Wormwood”. What ensued was some of the most difficult and thought out metal music of the time. Wormwood failed to last as a band and quickly the two old friends went their separate ways. After a few phone calls it was clear that the two oldest members were destined to create music together again. The writing process ensued. Dave moved from drummer to vocalist, mostly out of necessity and vowed to find not only a replacement but a superior force on the drums. The slot was filled by the most dynamic drummer the area had ever seen, Dale Pederson. Dave and Dale studied drums under the same teacher while they were growing up. It was an easy decision to make as Dale entered the fray. Armed with his quick feet and solid beats Dale became the anchor for their new breed of metal. His powerful and thought provoking drum lines were only eclipsed by his songwriting and production skills. He would be quickly put to the test as “Soul Octane Burner” began writing music faster than anyone could have imagined. It was at this point that it became evident that one guitar player would simply not do. Enter Dan Griffith a longtime friend and bandmate of Dale’s. With his scorching Les Paul style he quickly became the lost piece of the puzzle. Dan’s solid playing and enthusiasm brought a different level to this powerful quartet. Faced now with the job of recording their debut album “Soul Octane Burner” worked tirelessly to release and album that would match the intensity of the live show. Dave made an easy transition to vocals having written all of the lyrics and melodies on the early demo projects. His pain and agony become very evident in his words. His style of hardcore vocals fit perfectly into the music of of the group. Having cut their teeth in the small clubs of the area, they set their sites on Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. They destroyed every stage they played on. Opening for such acts as “Overkill” “Exodus” and "KORN", they showed what a couple of country boys could do with their brand of smash mouth music. The machine of Soul Octane Burner continues to grind out one jaw dropping show after another. Now on the release of their self-titled debut album “Soul Octane Burner” has set out to do what few local acts have been able to achieve, total world domination.Touted as one of 2009’s bands to watch, be sure to get your copy of the new album. See them live as they come to a stage near you soon. A band this powerful can not be ignored, nor will they be. The time of “Soul Octane Burner” has come, be a part of the future of metal music…
