Donnie, Mark H (Egon) and Mark W have played together in some way shape or form for many years. Erich Friebel seamlessly integrated into the band as drummer. All members hail from the Metro Detroit, Michigan (USA) area, but now extend their haunts further south to Indiana and Ohio as well as Michigan. Soulscholar is the latest incarnation of their diversified experiences put into musical form.
Each member of Soulscholar has been heavily influenced by the music of the 70s and 80s when they grew up, and well into the the 1990s up to today. Soulscholar's music is an amalgam of their rock and blues roots, turned into an electric elixir.
