Bio

Soulscript released "The Dogwood Sessions", their 3rd CD of original songs on July 3, 2010 at The Mandeville Seafood Festival. The band continues down the path of blending roots rock with Americana musings in these 12 new songs. Life, love, and the pursuit of happiness are all fair game in coloring their musical canvases.
"Bleeding on Paper," Soulscript's sophomore CD, contains nine original songs that redefine the meaning of "extreme emotional disclosure." In Feb. 2004, Offbeat magazine described the CD as "polished and heartfelt. . . ." Formed in 2001, the New Orleans area band stayed close to their Americana roots with singles like "A House You Can't Call Home," "This Town's Been Mean", and "Queen of Nowhere." Soulscript also embrace their rock roots with classic sounding songs such as "Drive," "Down," and "It's Important to Me." "Bleeding on Paper" reached # 107 on the Americana airplay charts and # 10 on the roots rock airplay charts of Roots Music Report© in April 2004.
Soulscript's debut CD, "There By Now," was released in June 2002. It has since received airplay on over 300 stations in 21 countries. In France, “There By Now” peaked at #3 on August 8, 2003 on the European CMA© national airplay charts. The country-flavored single, “Lead Me Home,” charted at #71 on the ECMA© top 200 radio airplay charts on June 8, 2003. “There By Now,” the title track, also charted on the ECMA© top 200 radio airplay charts from July 8 to Sept. 19, 2003. In the U.S., "There By Now" has been played on over 140 stations in 37 states, while charting in the top 30 of 14 CMJ© reporting stations.
