Soul Sista’s Juke Joint™is an evening highlighting the artistic talents of local and upcoming female artist from all over the country. Reminiscent of the juke joints of the 50s and 60s, Soul Sista’s Juke Joint™will take you back to a time when live music fed the soul and expanded the minds of the people. Soul Sista’s Juke Joint™has provided a stage for such artist as Verve recording artist, Lizz Wright, Phillipia, Slick & Rose, Taffether, Yewande and former chairman of the National Black Panther movement, Elaine Brown, to name a few. Established in May of 2002, Soul Sista’s Juke Joint™recently celebrated it's one-year anniversary, marking its continued presence in the underground community and its commitment to the art movement. Soul Sista’s Juke Joint™has provided a very unique alternative on every first Friday of each month.
