We make music designed to take back the lost and unsaved for the Kingdom of God.

Biography

For many years, gospel music has been a strong force in the world for delivering the encouraging expressions of God’s Word through melodic harmonies and soul stirring lyrics. With various forms of Gospel music stemming from Southern hymnals to Christian Alternative, a void was powerfully felt from the youth who needed something different for them to identify with. The youth, being grounded in hip hop and rap, yearned for something distinct and separated from the mainstream Gospel normalcies. This call was answered by four young men who would later find this new ministry to be, not only challenging, but a blessing that would launch them to the nations.
In 2000, these men came together to form the anointed Gospel rap ministry of Soul Suhvivahz. The ministry consists of Steven Carter (Musta Seed), Martryal Gray (Sixx Day), Monroe Johnson (Ministah), and Alphonso Finley (Shofar). Together, Soul Suhvivahz would embark on an assignment to win back the souls of our youth and reclaim the devastated streets through their music for Jesus Christ. With this as their purpose, the ministry would find their biggest supporters to be drug dealer’s who had enough of their lifestyle, the student that just needed a word of encouragement, the abused child who sought after a way out, and even the saint that somehow lost their way. Utilizing their past experiences and the deliverance that God had provided them, their testimonies as spiritual survivors is the foundation for every song. This Holy Hip-Hop group has put together music that represents righteousness, and the gospel for Jesus Christ.
Soul Suhvivahz has ministered all across the nation inspiring others everywhere to choose Christ as their Lord. Ministering at events located all over their home state of Ohio, Soul Suhvivahz has been blessed to minister at various college institutions like Miami of Ohio, city wide conferences like the 2007 City Wide Christian Conference in Dover, Delaware, gospel dinner cruises, a New Artist Showcase at the New Birth Church in Atlanta under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Long, as well as open up for the One Church tour featuring Smokie Norful and Kurt Karr.
Independently, Soul Suhvivahz has sold a tremendous quantity of cds throughout the nation. Continuing on their mission to reach the saved and the unsaved, helping them to see hope and life in Christ, Soul Suhvivahz will continue pressing to reach each and every man, woman, and child. As the spiritual fuel is added to the fire, Soul Suhvivahz will continue to carry this message worldwide.
