""Prawdukt" album review"

Soul the Interrogator - Prawdukt
(End of Earth)

Seattle, Washington, home to the Mariners, Seahawks and, once upon a time, the SuperSonics. Seattle, Washington, also home to End of Earth Recordings artist Soul the Interrogator. I have to admit, I feel REALLY out of the loop lately as I have not heard of so many new artists that have come out in the past couple of years. Thus, Soul the Interrogator falls under that category for me.

This isn't your typical 'bible-gat-toting-emcee-bravado'. The Appollo-produced "Game Face" opens the album with Soul making your typical ‘this is not a game/I ain't playing with y'all" rap statement. Joints like the title track and "Soap Opera" opens Soul up to a confessional in the booth, opening up his heart about the past, present and future. "Been Waitin'", alongside Jazz Digga, borrows from an old Valerie Simpson sample that we've all sworn we've heard before. A couple of the more standout tracks for me were "Anatomical Minds" and the introspective "The Ropes", a biographical lead into the life of the man behind the mic.

"Prawdukt" shows Soul the Interrogator experimenting with various beat and rhyme styles throughout the project. Not necessarily a bad thing. I can definitely see a place for this project to do well within the market.- 3 out of 5 stars.
