FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FOUR OF GOSPEL MUSIC’S MOST PROLIFIC UNDERGROUND ARTISTS UNITE FOR “SOUL THIRST ’08”
Kiwi, Mahogany Jones, Mizz Reality and Xion Bring Water for Every Soul That Thirsts After Everlasting Life

Detroit, MI, January 16, 2008 – Words and music that moves the mind, uplift the spirit and nourish the soul describes the mission of “Soul Thirst ‘08”. Emcees that bring the unadulterated life giving, life sustaining word of God will bring their powerful messages of redemption, unconditional love, upliftment, and encouragement to various cities across the nation beginning March 2008.

“Soul Thirst ‘08” combines the ministries of Kiwi, Mahogany Jones, Mizz Reality and Xion, four women with different, yet similar stories to tell through the ministry of music and poetry. “Our desire is to use personal testimony as well as worship to help people realize that the “thing” they have been searching for is the Living Water through Jesus Christ...the only thing that can truly quench thirst,” states Kiwi.

KIWI
"It was not by choice, God called me to it," states KIWI about her extraordinary ministry. When this soldier steps up to the mic, one should not assume what she's about to do, because she is led by the Spirit of God and does it all to glorify Him. This vessel draws souls into God's kingdom by ministering through the preached word, rhyming, poetry and singing. Kiwi wants to be received as a real and honest person. She wants her audience to know that she is touchable and has real, everyday experiences like everyone else. "I write from my experiences, heartaches and prayers," says Kiwi. "My songs are prayers and conversations between God and me...those pep talks as well as rebukes. God told me to be transparent with my walk and my lyrics reflect that...people can definitely identify with them. My main goal is to usher in God's presence and show people what they're missing if they don't know Christ. It's about winning lost souls and showing others that there is purpose and victory after the drama".

MAHOGANY JONZ
True to the original form of Hip- Hop, Mahogany Jonz began as a poet. During her first year of college, in a small cafe called the Brooklyn Moon, she began to hone the art of the Spoken Word by sharing mics with the likes of Saul Williams, Mums the Schemer and Sarah Jones. Mahogany states "I caught the bug- It was my dream to rock the mic." In 2000 she became a member of Toni Blackman's ("Hip-Hop Ambassador"/Activist) Freestyle Union and with a rigorous diet of weekly freestyle session, accountability meetings and movement training an emcee was born. Through it all there was still something missing, a void, and in that same year Jesus Christ filled it. It was in 2001, right before the rise of Poster Boy and Jin, that Mahogany Jonz, a timid, 5'11 wordsmith would go to win B.E.T's "Freestyle Friday's" battle competition and come out a four time Champion and do so in the name of Christ. Now an active member of Holy Hip-Hop's movement, The Yuinon, the only battling she is interested in is battling the degradation, mindless instant gratification, and poverty mentality that are suffocating Hip-Hop today. Her travels as both a spoken word artist and emcee have taken her throughout the U.S. and have allowed her to grace stage line-ups with Dead Prez, The Roots, India Arie, and many others. Along with producer, I-ron-ic- Lee, the two are currently working on completing Mahogany's debut full length project, "Morphed".

MIZZ REALITY
Mizz Reality expressed a profound interest in the art of hip hop at an early age. She has ministered through song at various ministries throughout the Midwest area. She took first place in the semi-finals; Chicago region, in the 2004 Exalting Him national talent search hosted by TBN and Daywind Records, where over 2,000 entrants entered. She has also featured on Bobby Jones New Artist Showcase and has opened for well-known artists as: Vickie Winans, MC Lyte, Snoop Dog, Yolanda Adams, Canton Jones, Ambassador, Trip Lee, Tedashii and Ki-Ki Sheard. God has given her lyrics that will not only convict the lost, but also promote the kingdom. Living her purpose in God, Mizz Reality respectfully aspires to preserve the art of hip hop for future generations, in a holy way. Her ultimate goal is to evangelize through music, giving God all the glory, honor and praise. Just keeping it real, enjoy life as a Christian, and staying crunk for Christ! Seeking Him first and His righteousness!

XION
Xion has been ministering through spoken word poetry since her 1998 start at Detroit’s infamous Café Mahogany. Those who witness God use her through poetry often say that she becomes someone else when she gets on stage. They are right. As a manifestation of the scripture if any man (woman) be in Christ he (she) is a new creature, Xion allows the audience to meet her at the place where God rescued her from her sin and misery so that she could be delivered and born aga - Earthlight Inc.
