SOUL WATER SEEKS TO ELEVATE CHRISTIAN HIP HOP WITH SOPHOMORE
PROJECT, INSPIRED MINDS
GAINESVILLE, Ga.--Christian hip-hop band Soul Water has released their second
album entitled Inspired Minds, on January 11, 2011. Soul Water, comprised of Dan
Moore and Lindsay Justice, having seen their 2007 self-titled release garner recognition and award nominations, are now seeking to raise the profile of their musical genre. Says Moore: “I feel that God has blessed us, so in return we will use our talents to spread His message. It is our hope to lead people toward the Savior while bringing Christian hip hop to a mainstream level.” Since forming in 2005, Soul Water has taken the stage alongside GRITS, Pettidee, Eshon Burgundy and Platinum Souls, in addition to appearing at the 2nd Annual Youth Gospel Entertainment Awards and the Holy Hip Hop Awards Showcase.
Soul Water is supporting the release of Inspired Minds with a video for the first
single, “Get it Done,” and a new website soulwatermusic.com. Soul Water also has a
new distribution deal inked with CLG Distribution in Nashville, TN, and is fielding

Justice is excited about the opportunity to continue influencing their listeners for
Christ. “I feel so strongly about taking the message of Christ outside of the four walls of the church,” she said. “The kingdom of God is advancing forcefully and we as believers are called to be part of the advancement. My desire, through music, is to bring hope and salvation in Christ to the unsaved.”

Soul Water is made up of the unlikely duo of MC Dan Moore and singer Lindsay Justice. The album is peppered with uplifting, slightly poppy beats which might be a bit too commercial for hip-hop purists but which work in a radio friendly, mass appeal way. Dan combines a powerful flow with challenging wordplay which is contrasted impeccably by Lindsay's trippy, whimsical vocal style, which in some ways shouldn't work but somehow it does. Some of the production has raw edges and would benefit from a bit of polishing, however this is a promising debut delivering a vibe that is refreshing and positive. The opener "LiveStrong" is jaunty and will cause even the most sour faced person to bob their heads while spilling Biblical truths in a clear way while "Streets Of Gold" again allows Lindsey's soulful chorus to work effortlessly with Dan's gritty raw verses. The 18 tracks here offer a diverse spectrum of subject matter and beats with the duo not scared to take on real issues. A promising debut. - Cross Rythms

: Hailing from Gainesville, Georgia, Soul Water began in 2005 with the musical introduction of Dan Moore and Lindsay Justice. The two bring a musical past, separate from each other, together to form a new vibe that is refreshing and uplifting.
Since his teenage years, Dan has been perfecting his craft of writing and producing music. Previously a part of the secular rap group 530, Dan created a lot of hype in the local rap game. After experiencing a near death experience resulting from a reckless lifestyle, Dan realized that God could use him in a way he never imagined. He decided to leave the street scene behind and use his talents to touch lives in a much deeper way, spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
After many years of being outside of the vision of God, Lindsay found that God’s grace could abundantly cover all of her past wrongs. Through Christ, she found a new identity and a life filled with purpose. Lindsay developed a new love for music and longed to share her passion. With divine appointment, the desires of Dan and Lindsay crossed paths and the two realized they shared the same burden for our youth and the next generation. They met in a small studio in Flowery Branch, GA and created their first song, LiveStrong, inspired from the trials they had each overcome by living strong through the words and promises of Jesus Christ. Since then, they have created their debut album released in 2007 and sold approximately 1,000 copies, solely from small performance appearances. In 2008, their ministry has grown and the two stayed busy working on their second album and continuing to perform at numerous venues, including a nomination and performance slot at the 2nd Annual Youth Gospel Entertainment Awards. Now they are excited about the release of their sophomore album, Inspired Minds. The album has such a positive vibe that will inspire you to become your best and further the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Soul Water has a goal and vision of spreading their ministry not only in their own community, but also to the world through the power of their God inspired music.
