Bio

Sound Barrier Experience (SBE) instinct for insularity is not surprising given that the band is made up of legendary skilled musicians who's worked with Sony/BMG, Warner Music Group, and Universal recording artist for years.

Album highlights include the insistently chugging second single “Call Me” Featuring Melanie Rutherford (Sony/BMG). The first single "Grow Old Together" Featuring Dakota Black & Mel Alston displays versatility like no other with R&B sounds combined with urban flavor.

With its stunning melodies, ringing guitars, and funky grooves, Sound Barrier Experience delivers on the promise SBE has shown throughout their brief career. From the desolate funk sounds of the introductory track “Ask of Me” (which Diapolis is solely establishing the tone) to the emotional intensity of the closing ballad “Mor Cherie”, Realize Ur Dream is all quality sound from start to finish.

Influences may include their experiences playing in arenas, resorts, and casinos, not only in support of "Sound Barrier Experience: Realize Ur Dream", but while playing for Melanie Rutherford (Sony/BMG) in 2010 and Frank Nitt (Delicious Vinyl Records). “We definitely wanted the songs to sound good in a 10,000-seat college venue, but we also wanted them to have the kind of intimacy that would get the point across at a club show for 300 kids,” Marlin says.

Overall, the Sound Barrier Experience knew it was time to be honest about their ambitions and prove what they could really do. Thorobred, the MC, for one, unleashes some of the most righteous, lyrical content ever recorded.

“Basically we got to the point where we realized that we can be known as a band that hit it hard for one record and disappeared, or be a band that was smart enough to realize that not very many bands get to have an opportunity to make an album, so let’s make the most of this,” Marlin says.

Our sound draws influences from all sorts of music:

The Roots, Maroon 5, Sublime, Gym Class Heroes, Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, Earth Wind & Fire, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, and the list goes on.
