Sounder was formed early in 2006 as a 3pc punk/rock combo. Formed by Mark & Scott Hamel & Mike O'Shea they soon answered an add in an online service obtaining guitarist Steve Mello. At this point the band began to take on a more rock & roll stance. O'Shea left the band in around late 2007 but the band had already recorded a demo, generated press, as well as began to carve out a space for themselves as rockers in a very alternative homebase(Providence,RI) With the addition of bassist/old aquaintance Jay Quinn, the band bean to settle into themselves as RI's PremierRock & Roll Outfit for the New Millennium, but it doesn't end here, Sounder is beginning to branch out across the northeast in2010 & is ready to accept any invite to any festival opportunities across the USA. WITH A NEW FULL LENGTH ALBUM JUST ABOUT FINISHED SOUNDER IS READY!!!!
