RAINE

RAINE is a band formed by six great musicians from different genres brought together through friendship and love to make a sound that brings Joyous, Atmospheric, Precipitation to the ears of those that Love Music. Describing our sound is difficult for us to explain but we like to call it a big pot of gumbo. Containing musical ingredients of Rock, Soul, Latin, R&B, African, and little bit of country. Mixing all of that together creates some great complex rhythms and jams smoothed over by the Sultry, Sexy, voice of Christina Raine.

The supporting cast behind the awesome Christina is Kennon Knight, Rodney Wallin, Dom Val, Matthew Darsey, and Michael Rone.

Christina (lead guitar/vocals) and Kennon (drums/back-up vocals) have been playing together for over 12 years doing full band and acoustic acts. One of their special music projects together and still going is the music of Square Roots.

Rodney Wallin (bass), Dom Val (keys), Michael Rone (percussion) as well as Kennon Knight were part of a band together called Moses Jones. They continue to work on outside projects as well. Rodney also plays with Grey Revell and Dom also plays with The Goodnight Brothers. Finally the piece the brings the RAINE together is Matthew Darsey (Viola). Matthew is a classically trained Viola player and has played with the great Yo-Yo Ma. We all love what he does with the music we create. It just makes the RAINE more enjoyable to stand under.

It is our hope and JOY that those that come to hear the RAINE fall not only enjoy it, but let it be a new soundtrack into their lives. We believe in RAINE because of the Lyrics and Instrumentation that we bring forth has the power to uplift, encourage, make your toes tap, and most importantly leads you into Dancing and Singing in the RAINE.
