Bio
Sourcecode is based in Portland, Oregon. The band was formed in 2003 and has been performing locally since. Each member of Sourcecode contributes such diverse components that make the unique sound created by the band. The use of odd time signatures to create "Time Tension" and the use of disonance and resolution are some things that set the the band apart from other modern bands. Dynamics are important in creating the songs that range in volume from ultra quiet piano intros to epic, wall-of-sound climaxes.
Influences are many and varied ranging from Mozart to Slayer and touching on Shiner, ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead and Fugazi.
