Southern Breeze Band was formed March 16, 1991 by younger brother Herbie Carter and JR Carter joined one week later. They played with guys like Mike Novlenberger,(guitar), Randy Little (bass), Bobbie Sellers (guitar), and Herbie Carter (drums). Through the years they have changed and grown to who they are today, a very strong exciting group of guys that love like family. As a matter of fact, three of them are brothers JR Carter (lead vocals), Bill Carter (bass guitar), and Ronnie Carter (drums).
In 1993 there was a change in the band when Mike Helms joined, this turned the whole thing around and the band grew more in popularity. Mike Helms is an ex-heavy metal guitarist turned southern rock/country when he joined Southern Breeze.
But they will never forget their younger brother Herbie Carter who will always be Mr Southern Breeze!!! Ro
