Originally all from Mississippi, Mike and Ben Dawson of Southern Bastard Church relocated to Connecticut in 1998. After bass player Chris Brown left his band Lambotomy in Mississippi after 10 years. He then joined Mike and Ben Dawson in Connecticut and started "Downstares." Many members came and went, but the original "3" remained the same. Only the name has changed.
Southern Bastard Church is a professional kick-ass southern metal band with a van, a dream, and some bad ass songs, and are ready to play your town.
