Bio
Southern Gothic Revival is an all original Voodoo Rock, Smokey Jazz and Bordello Blues Band.
A six piece, all born and bred in Atlanta, Georgia, they have a unique rhythmic and soulful sound that is both dark and beautiful.
The band is the brainchild of two longtime friends and musicians, lead vocalist Geoff Effaw and guitarist Beau Eadon. They draw from a variety of influences ranging from Tom Waits to Outkast, blending their sultry bordello sound into an entity all of its own.
The SGR recordings are intimate, while the live show is reminiscent of the raucous atmosphere of Carnivale on New Orleans Bourbon Street.
The band performs as a tight well-oiled machine. Fronted by a larger than life blues singer, every musician pours out their hearts – hell bent on having a good time.
Listening to them will do more than make your foot tap, they will take you back in time, imagining that you are in the center of the craziest carnivale of all time, surrounded by red velvet, dancing girls and swinging chandeliers.
So glasses up and smiles all round, the band is in town and it’s Southern Gothic Revival!
