Southern Spelle

Southern Spelle is a sisters duo, Sara and Leah McBee, 18 and 17. We sing country and country pop with great sister harmony. We have been singing together our whole life, started out singing in Church, School plays, recitals you name it. But our biggest performance was in February of 2005, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. There were over 2000 people there. Some of the biggest music legions in Country Music, such as George Jones, Wynona Judd, Travis Tritt, Marty Stuart, Hank Williams Jr. and Kid Rock. Some new comers at the time joined the show, Big and Rich and many others. Now I bet your thinking to yourself, what show was this? Well let me tell you! Our Grandfather was the late Merle Kilgore. Renowned singer/songwriter and manager of Hank Williams Jr., he wrote Ring of Fire and numerous other hits. He past away in February of 2005 but before he pasted he ask us to sing 'Amazing Grace' at his Funeral. Now you've got to know that was the hardest things we have or will ever have to do in our entire lives. We were only 11 and 12 at the time and it was the GREATEST honor in the world to sing for him one last time. Our Granddaddy strongly believed in us, and would have helped us succeed if we had not lost him 2005. So now all we are doing is trying to make him proud everyday. That is our goal in our music and in our lives.
We currently live in Dallas TX. but plan to move to back to Nashville very soon. We made the decision this year to home school the rest of our High school so we could focus all of our attention on our music. We are now doing gigs around the Dallas area but have done shows in Utah, Idaho, Seattle, Nashville and our home town Paris TN. We are willing to travel where ever our music takes us.
