South of Center is an Austin rock/funk/blues band that plays original music. Formed in 2006, the group consists of Julian Johnson on drums, Josh Mosier on lead guitar and vocals and Noah Binford on bass guitar. South of Center's songs are driven by Josh's creative funk guitar and powerful vocals, Julian's solid rhythm along with his unique and complex beats and Noah who can pop and slap like no one's business! They are inspired by Dave Matthews Band, James Brown, Sublime, Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead and many more.

These three 14-year olds have played the Austin Rodeo, Altworld series at Jovita’s, Next Up showcase at Ruta Maya Coffeehouse, JamFest at The Belmont, JamFest at Antones, Voices in the Village, Arthouse Museum, parties, festivals and fundraisers. South of Center is the winner of the Austin Guitar School Songwriting contest and placed 2nd in the best U18 band category in the most recent Austin Chronicle Musician's poll.
