South Of Earth

Out of the ashes of FILTER and Loser comes South Of Earth.The band was formed in Chicago bysongwriter guitarist Geno Lenardo.Geno was co-producer on FILTER's"Title Of Record" feturing the hit "Take A Picture" and the follow up album "The Amalgamutt" featuring the singles "Where Do We Go From Here" and "The Only Way Is The Wrong Way".Upon departing FILTER Geno began writing what would become South Of Earth's upcoming release"Fables Of The Deconstruction".One of the songs from the sessions was covered by Apocalyptica featuring Slipnot vocalist Corey Taylor and is currently still in rotation around the country and abroad.After meeting with many singers Geno came across the singular vocal talents of Joe Grah formermy of the Island Def Jam band Loser.The preceding album was independantly funded and produced by Geno Lenardo in LA where he sought the help and aid of producer and friend Danny(NIN/A Perfect Circle) Lohner and they recorded several tracks at the infamous Renholder Castle in the Hollywood Hills.The production was moved back to Chicago where it was mixed at Johnny K's Groovemaster studios by TADPOLE.With the addition of drummer Babiak(Kill Hannah) and bassist Bill(Boy Hits Car) Gower South Of Earth played their first show at the Viper Room in early August.The show was a success and thier myspace began to blow up.A few weeks they were asked back again and it was at this show that they hooked up with Tools managaer Pete Riedling who is currently helping them on thier path to world domination.Most recently the band has been working on new studio tracks with producer Shaun(Deftones,FAR) Lopez to be included on the upcoming release.
