The South Saturn Delta sound goes back to the roots of Blues-influenced Rock'N'Roll with a particularly tasty Southern flavor.
With influences ranging from Classic Southern Rock sound of The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes & CCR, to the Blues sounds of BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top & Jimi Hendrix to the Classic 60's & 70's English sound of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones & Cream... SSD creates a sound as thick as an Alabama swamp!

South Saturn Delta has evolved since its start in the Summer of 2005 outside of Birmingham, Alabama. With a several key lineup changes in 2008, that band puts a fresh feel on music everyone knows and loves. The current lineup includes founding member Josh Butler on lead vocals & guitar with local music veterans Michael Eskew on the keys, guitar & vocals, Joseph Doroughon lead guitar & vocals, Jesse Suttle on drums, and Brandon Peeples on bass.
SSD plays weekly local nightclub shows around Alabama. In addition, SSD has played in the Sloss Furnace "Stokin The Fire" music festival and performed "Opening Act" duties for such legendary musicians such as The Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Georgia Satellites...and, yes, even Kid Rock...at Verizon Music Center Amphitheater in Birmingham!!!
